The second regional event for the promotion of the Norwegian Co-operation Programme and of the EEA Financial Mechanism in Romania was organised on April 8th, 2008, in Constanta. More than 150 guests took part in the event, including representatives of Norwegian entities. The seminar covered mostly the South-East region of Romania, but participants from the Sounth Muntenia region were also present. Following the general presentation of the workings of the two programmes, emphasis was placed in the second part of the event on sustainable development in the maritime sector, as one area of high relevance to the South-East region of Romania.

On 26 March 2008, a regional seminar was conducted in Varna (at the Black Sea Coast) hosted by Varna municipality. The aim of the seminar was to present the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Cooperation Programme with Bulgaria. A press conference took place in the morning, before the official opening. More than 180 participants, mainly from Bulgaria but also some from Norway, attended the plenary session.

The Romanian Ministry of Economy and Finance and Innovation Norway, in co-operation with the Norwegian Embassy in Romania, the Prefect's Office of the county of Cluj, the Regional Development Agencies and Chambers of Commerce in the North-West, West and Centre Regions of Romania organised a regional seminar for the promotion of the Norwegian Co-operation Programme and of the EEA Financial Mechanism on March 12th, 2008, in Cluj-Napoca. About 150 guests attended the event.
