By end of April 2010 the old and amortized street lighting in Toplovgrad muscularity has been replaced and an assemblage of 3895  energy- efficient luminaries has been installed in Topolovgrad and near villages thus  40- 50 % energy saving is expected to be achieved in the future. It will create also a comfort of the citizens and municipality’s guests.

The Fest of light was foreseen to be the final project event, but due to some budget saving the scope of the project will be extended and an assemblage of decorative energy saving  lighting on the buildings of the Municipality, the Culture centre and the church “Virgin Mary” will be installed additionally.

In June the Norwegian partner Fjell municipality will visit Toplovgrad and conduct training with local stakeholders for sharing good experience from Norway and promotion of new energy saving practices. Hopefully this time there will no further volcano eruptions, so the Norwegian experts could travel to Bulgaria.
