Specific Purpose of the Scheme• To enable fast-track project preparations where the would-be project is a small, less complex and low-budget one, and where all that is required for putting together a good individual project application is non-extensive contact among potential partners.
• To find partner(s) for establishing a cooperation project between two (or more) NGOs for knowledge transfer/competence building among themselves
Eligible applicants NGOs and social partners legally registered in the participating countries (Norway, Bulgaria and Romania) and active in fields relevant to the priorities of the Co-operation Programme.
In order for an entity to qualify as an NGO or social partner, it must comply in all respects with the definition given in section 2.2.1 (page 6) of the Applicant's Guide available on this site.
Eligible costsTravel to and accommodation expenses in the country with which a project partnership idea is pursued.
Grant rate
Travel Support is granted as a lump sum based on the application at the following rates:
• Up to EUR 1500 per applicant entity for visits between two countries
• Up to EUR 2000 where Norwegian applicants travel to both Romania and Bulgaria in one trip.
Normally, only one application per NGO or social partner per targeted project will be allowed.
Application procedureApplications can be submitted by e-mail to
post@norwaygrants.org. The information to be provided in the e-mail should follow the items in the grantee’s section of the reimbursement form below and include a short description of the project being planned. If the application is accepted, grant terms and conditions shall be detailed in a grant approval letter.
Applications that do not comply with any one of the scheme implementation elements outlined above shall be rejected and a notification letter will be sent to the applicant.
Reimbursement
Expenses shall be reimbursed following submission of a request for reimbursement (form available
here). Expenses incurred must serve purposes directly relevant to project preparations under any one of the priorities and focus areas of the Norwegian Co-operation Programme.
Non-compliance with this requirement will constitute a ground for rejection of the request for reimbursement.
Important notice: eligibility under the Travel Support Scheme does not preclude the eligibility under the Seed Money Facility of one and the same NGO/social partner entity where preparations concern more complex, higher-budget projects.
