The Norway Grants are at their second launch in Romania. 

"A new round of EEA and Norway Grants will further strengthen our good contact and cooperation", said Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre.

"Romanian small communities, schools and NGOs promote climate friendly energy solutions". The project implemented by Prietenii Pamantului in partnership with Norges Naturvernforbund  and Climate Action Network Romania has been conluded. It involved the most diverse direct target groups: children, parents, teachers, local authorities, activists and volunteers from environmental organisations, farmers, energy specialists etc.

It all started in November 2007 and now, close to 4 years after,  we are at the final conclusion of the Norwegian Cooperation Programme.  But what has actually started? The Norwegian Cooperation Programme took a leap of faith in Romania and Bulgaria announcing one of the few grant schemes existent in the EU non-reimbursable projects market.

On Save the Children’s International Members Meeting in 2011, Save the Children Romania was awarded the first prize within Save the Children International’s competition for Most Innovative Projects, after implementing a national programme aiming at building a society free of violence for our children.

The project aimed to enhance the sustainable, integrated development in 6 communities from the Tara Dornelor area through ecotourism and renewable energy. 

The project purpose was to obtain an innovative bio-solid composite (as ecological nutrient for agriculture) resulted from the mixture of sludge from Romanian wastewater treatment plants with residual marine biomass (seaweed) from the Black Sea. These two biomasses were never used, together or separated.

On the 29th of September, Romanian Industrial Heating Technology Centre – RIHTC has been officially opened.  Speeches and opening remarks presented, awards given by the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and many participants walked through two newly built and professionally equipped buildings belonging to UTTIS and EFD.

The Norwegian Minister of Health and Care Services, Mrs. Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen, has visited Romania between 28-29 June to see three projects funded through the EEA and Norway Grants. The Norwegian minister has also met with the Romanian health minister, Mr. Cseke Attila, to discuss further cooperation between Norway and Romania in the health sector

With reference to the NCP experience sharing workshop we had last year and the topics discussed, please find attached the template of the final project report.  

 

As you were informed during the workshop, it is not a mandatory report. Inherently it is a practical narrative report that has in view information which should address the impact of the project, outline areas of particular success or failure. Your project achievements are described through the mandatory results enumerated in the Grant Offer Letter and could be encompassed in this report.
