LO Norway in its first joint project with Romanian and Bulgarian partners – improved focus on health and safety in the workplace through strengthened social dialogue.

 
In 2007 LO Norway (http://www.lo.no/)  established a H&S project under the Norwegian Cooperation Program administrated by Innovation Norway in Romania and Bulgaria. In January 2009, Innovation Norway awarded grants for both projects, and by June 2009, the activities started in both countries.

Tall Oaks From Little Acorns Grow

Better Health Care For Children And The Elderly In Rural Romania 

In April 2009, an NGO-public partnership consisting of Fundatia pentru Sprijin Comunitar Bacau, Romania, and the Selbu municipality from Norway got a Norwegian Co-operation Programme grant of EUR 1 million + for the implementation of a project aimed at improving the extent and quality of rural health in eight villages in the county of Bacau (North-East Romania). Children and the elderly are the main target group of the project.
